What is CrossFit?

Who can Join?

EVERYONE! At AVCF, we have created a safe, welcoming, incredible fitness community with athletes of all ages, backgrounds, fitness levels, and goals! You are welcome here! 

 

I don’t have an athletic background, can I still join?

YES! Our on-boarding sessions are carefully designed to teach you all that you need to know about the movements that we do in our daily workouts. Here, you work 1:1 or in a small group with a knowledgeable, experienced coach to learn safe, sound techniques for our movements.

 

Do I have to lift heavy weights?

Goodness, no! Can you, absolutely! Do you NEED to, no! Our coaches will work with you to ensure that you are appropriately scaling each movement in our workouts to fit your needs. 

 

What do classes look like?

Our classes are all broken down the same - 

  1. Question of the day (team building!)

  2. Warm-up/Stretch (specifically tailored to each days workout/movements)

  3. Strength 

  4. Workout of the day

 

Are the coaches certified?

All of our coaches have earned a CrossFit Level 1 or higher,  and have extensive CrossFit experience. See the “About” tab on the website to learn more about each coach! 

 

How long are the classes?

All classes last one hour in length.

 

Do you offer 1:1 Training?
